Ok, guys im getting a beater for my daily driver so what gear should i Put in my 94 auto? It's eather going to be a 4.10 or 4.30. Im pretty set on the 4.30's right now cuz im want that lil extra. Im ordering them he 16th guys so a lil extra info would be good.

4.30's will be wicked. i would do 4.10s max. but thats just me.

If you don't do much freeway, 4.30, but you'll be near 3k for 70 mph.

thats fine for the highway, im picking up a nissan sentra that im putting a folders coffee can on for exhaust. :drunk: Ill have a gas mileage car. Not may can say they have 4.30's in a aode though.

4.30's it is then. I understand you are getting a daily beater, but even on cruise night's, with the auto it may be a bit much, but if it's only coming out for saturday night fun, do the 4.30's.

i had 4.10's in my 98 auto and wouldnt have went bigger

i LOVED them, but it was plenty of gear... esp for the setup i had (full bolt-ons, PnP PI's, cams, etc.)

why wouldnt you have went bigger. Understand you also a the 4r7w or however you spell it tranny. But some explantion would be nice. thanks for the help guys.

well... 4.10 to 4.30 is not that much of a differance....I would go 4.30s since its not a dd. Just for the hell of it. It will feel like 60 hp instead of 50 hp you would feel like you gained from swapping to 4.10s

i just tihnk 4.30's is gonna be too much gear... atleast for me it would be.

I had 4.30's in my 05 and i was awesome but my the 98 i was more than happy with my 4.10's

yes it is a 4r70w car but i didnt like shifting into OD so early...
plus i know its not that much more gear, but traction will become an issue with so much gear reduction in first gear.

I thought the 4.10 matched the auto perfectly... not too much gear, not too little... just right

Man some of u guys are gear crazy, I'm happy with my 3.55s in my 5 speed. I might do 4.10s in an auto but not 4.30s, but I'm conservative like that.

you dont have a 4v... they need minimum 4:10s

I still haven't made up my mind on gears. I'm leaning more towards 4.10's but not totally sure.
