im gonna assume he miss typed and meant some # between a 1200ft and the traps at 1320ft...lol
That would be correct. for what ever reason I was thinking 1480ft not 1320 feet. Either way, my gear set up was wrong for the car.

At the time I was running a 1968 Mustng Gt with a 428CJ. My gears were 4:86's. I should have been running 4:30's When I originally built the car I had 4:11's I was running consistant 12.70's@ 110-113mph with a 1.8 60ft. after the gear swap to 4:86's my 60ft dropped to 1.5-1.6. But I ran out of motor at the big end cracking the rev. limiter at around the 1400ft mark killing both ET and MPH.

err...1400ft mark is AFTER you pass through the traps?? Unless your engine falls on its face as it approaches the limiter..I don't see that affecting your ET or MPH at all.

Anyways...what you said wasn't relevant to the points me and Duffy made. [unless you are referring to your best time & ET coming after you had made a gear swap..which means you are comparing two different setups..which is apples to oranges]

...however that does sound like a pretty neat car to see at the drag strip!

You won't see it any more. Car is long gone.
