Dust shileds/backing plates

My '95 has some corroded dust shields on the fronts. Is there a source for these parts that is reasonable. I found some on the internet for $64 for the fronts.. and it seems steep to me for all there is to them. Thanks in advance for any help..Mike from Exeter Ontario in Davenport Florida !

I assume these at LMR are the ones you found? If you want new ones, those are probably your best bet. The Ford dealership might also have a set but I doubt they'd be cheaper. If you really don't want to spend that much, your only other options are to either source a good used set from a salvage yard, or fabricate some yourself out of thin sheet aluminum. There's really nothing special about the shields that you couldn't cut/duplicate yourself with some aluminum. Just use your current ones as a template. I can't really speak to the durability of the aluminum, the only problem I could maybe see is it would be a bit more likely to bend if something were to hit it, but you could roll the edges a bit for added strength.
