Finally after almost a year the new comb is going on the dyno to get tuned. I wanted to get it done last summer but unforeseen events came about and I could not get to it. This Saturday the Cobra will finally run the way it really should and I'll get the real power this combo should be making. The new comb is currently in my sig, also have Under Drive Pulleys.

The old comb consisted of a Cobra intake, 90MM Lighting Mass air Meter and a Crower 15512 camshaft. Im hoping to put down 380 at the wheels or something close to that, anything over I'll consider a gift. The old combo put down 340/390 according to the dyno graph from the previous owner.

The appointment is at 9AM if anyone wants to you can watch on the shops web cam. http://www.performance-dyno.com/New%20Site/Performance-Dyno.html The link for the web cam is on the left hand side and you can switch between the Shop cam and the Graph cam.

I'll post the results when I get back on saturday and for fun everyone can make guesses to see who gets closer. Im going to guess 380 RWHP and 405 RWTQ. Thats a little on my "high end" of what I expect but nothing wrong w/ thinking big :)

The combo is built more for power the TQ but I dont see it drastically dropping but who knows it could.

well it pulled lower then what I was hoping for but that's b/c there are a few things that need to be changed. It was pig rich at first but after fixing that and adding 10 degrees of timing it put down 333 RWHP and 338 RWTQ. What hurt me was my air intake system, to many bends so Im switching over to a fox TB set up and the other strike were the headers. I really should have long tube headers the shorty's are just to restrictive. Plus on top of all that Im only running 9:0:1 compression.

The good point is that I was running in the 12's at 110 MPH with the way the car was when he strapped it on the dyno putting down 306 RWHP and 295 RWTQ. So the tune picked me up 27 HP at the wheels and 43 TQ at the wheels so it should definitely rip at the track now.

I do have video but its still on the CD, its not my camcorder so Im not sure on how to get the video onto my computer I'll get it when my roommate gets back from VT

The only reason I was expecting the upper 300's in the HP was b/c the previous dyno sheet said it put down 340/390 but I dont see how that was possible on just the motor on that other set up that it had. Maybe that was the numbers on the Nitrous but I'll have to check w/ the previous owner to find out. Either way Im really happy w/ the tune the car runs a lot better now and you can definitely feel the HP picked up from the tune. Next its off to the track.

Duffy was pestering me the whole time texting me while watching me on the web cam. Oil leak my ass..dink!

Im going to look into getting a compression/leak down test done b/c there are some on other boards who think it should have pulled much more then that. I thought it should have as well but I figured the numbers are the numbers and that's all there is to it.

. Thanks! I want to squeeze about about 40 more RWHP out of it lol. In a way Im kinda hoping a leak down test shows that something is wrong. There was another guy there who I was talking to, he has a 331 with AFR 165's (cant remember his cam/intake but it was nothing radical) and he put down 350 to the wheels.

There is a little more in it but he took the timing to the limit before it was going to run lean and then backed it off a little. Id rather be leaving a few HP then to be right on the edge.

If I was you i would strap the car on a another dyno and compare numbers, I bet if you put on long tubes you could prob see another 30rwhp, them headers are holding you back big time im sure!
