okay, so apparently the 98 gt has more power because the ecu is a little different?

i have a 97 gt, can i swap my ecu for a 98 ecu and gain power?

and also can could i use a diablo tuner with a 98 ecu? i would love any information!

I say just get your 97 ECU tuned for around the same price as the 98 ECU and you will gain more power. But from what I have heard it can work to use the 98 ECU in your car! Too much work IMO

Simple answer: NO you cannot use a 98 ECU in anything but a 98 car

Complicated: You probably could, but the labor and complete rewiring of the car would make you an idiot for even trying it.

Different fuel system is just one of the issues.

From HERE both regarding a guy wanting to use a 98 ECU in his 97 GT.
