Simple question taking out the dash is no problem for me but dang disconnecting the electrical plugs is a pain and i ALWAYS break the tabs. How do ya'll unplug them with out breaking the tabs? is there a tool that will make it easier? I went to the junkyard on Saturday and took out the dashes out of 4 mustangs and stripped them down to the dash module, metal frame, and wire harness. I'm practicing before i work on my dash and swapping it to all black

no there is no special tools for it. Its easier if you have both hands to do it but often working in limited space or where you can't reach with both its much harder. You just need to pull them apart, while pressing the tap up

the worst parts about working on our cars:

Christmas tree pins.
Electrical connections.

my only suggestion is small screwdrivers and tiny picks.
