It had been running fine up until today. It idles fine but under a load it develops a miss. I plan on pulling the plugs tomorrow and taking a look at them plus checking the wires while I am at it. It is also oil change time so I am going to do it, and change out the fuel filter as well. Any ideas or suggestions?

I seem to be having nothing but little problems. It will all work out fine. I?m just trying to keep it running until I can bust it all down, and build the crap out of it.

Only to use FRPP wires and not the Vatozone trash wires. If you do all that and it still misses, then we'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Will do I will order the plug wires, and take pictures when I pull the plugs.

Any suggestions on the best place to order the wires? I found them for $78 shipped on ebay.

Hey Junior, I was chasing a miss for a week in my 98 and I ended up pulling the plugs and throwing in some Autolite
764's gapped @ .52 and a set of OEM Motorcraft wires (I'm really tight on cash) and it did the trick for me. I got the
wires @ Rockauto for 44.95 (over $100 @ Advanced,Autozone) and the same with the plugs $.80 a piece after a $.50 per plug rebate. www.rockauto.comhttp://

Hope it helps..

Peace

Mystery may be solved. I pulled plugs 5-8 then went for 1-4 on the #2 cylinder when I went to pull the wire it wasn?t attached. I know when I put them in it snapped in well. I am going to take the diagram I have, and correct the wires, and order the FRPP wires first of the week.

Thanks all.

Here are the pics of the plugs.

photos of said spark plugs if you replace them (old)

I put them in a couple of weeks ago.

Took it for a run, and all is well for now. New wires should be next week just in case.
