I have a 95 gt it has ported gt40x heads 1.72 roller rockers b303 cam cobra upper and lower intake and 65mm throttle body and is skipping at low rpms I have changed coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, injectors, distributer, tfi or whatever its called on the pass fender well, injector wiring harness, maf, iac and tps. Im stumped it started before I swapped the heads it only skipped when it was cold and stopped know it does it all the time at low rpms when I get on it it smoothes out it has new push rods and lifters aswell and not making any noises at all just skipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Craig

I ran a compression test today number 7 was dead ran it again with no rockers and it pumped up so i ran it one rocker at a time and found the lifter on the exhaust valve was stuck

wow, just what I was thinking, only I thought a rocker might be too tight. Just replace all the lifters while you have it apart, not an expensive fix at all. Oh, and it's called a 'miss', little girls skip.

actually, the lifter manufacturers say to not soak lifters before installing them. Reason? Because the lifter will stick at full lift and could actually put a valve into a piston. It's best to let them pump up to adjustment and start out small, then work to full lift. Rather than the opposite. Good to know you got your skippin little engine on it's way to a recovery. lol.
