I was able to record when my engine makes noise when my foot is off the gas. It might be hard to hear but I tell you when my foot is on the gas versus when my foot is off. Please help!! http://youtu.be/E_070K9FkRA
It's like a mechanical noise that matches the tune of the revs if that makes sense. As the revs go down in pitch so does the noise. It's not a grinding noise or doesn't sound like abything is broken. It happens only when I'm in gear and I take my foot off the gas.
Can you tell which general area it is coming from? I couldn't hear it in the video wish I could help out more...
Sounds like you need power steering fluid. Could be a bearing in one of the accessories or tentioner. Take the accessories drive belt/serpentine belt off and then give it a rev up. You may also be able to spin the accessories by hand and feel the growl.
If the engine is full of oil, its breaking is out of your hands. Nothing you can do to prevent internal damage. Check the accessories out
Their will be drag simulating engine braking if an accessory bearing is giving out. Ive experienced the a/c pump locking up. Car wouldnt do nothing and acted completely locked up. Removed the belt, car was fine.
