Hi...
I just bought a 2002 Ford Crown Vic engine that has the pi heads and intake on it...it is in great shape. I was wondering if the 2002 crown vic internals were the same as the mustang gt's from 99-04? If so i am planning on building that motor and swapping it for my 98 gt motor....is it worth it or just swap the pi heads, intake and get aftermarket cams for the 98 engine? Thanks for the info!

yea bob has it right, they are mostly the same. Build the 2v jsut remember the less you have to pay to change, ie fuel rails or electronic stuff is money you can use for parts of the build.

I was going to use my accseories and such....i was looking at pistons and stuff and they are outragoues for the 4.6 motor....double the 302's cost.....why is that? I was maybe going to pull it apart and hone the cylinders a little and put new rings on it then send the pi heads to get ported and put some cams in and longtubes and nitrous....would that be a pretty good kick. My 98 currently has a trickflow plenum, bbk 75 mm tb, o/r hpipe, flowmasters, frpp plug wires, frpp 3.73's, short throw shifter, msd coils, upr cold air intake, and underdrive pullies...all that on the other 2 valve....i am looking for 300 whp all motor and i would be happy. Could i do thid by putting the pi heads on my non pi car and save a lot more money?

I think you would get more from the PI head swap than you would from just swapping motors.
