engine swap officially underway - WITH PICS!

okay so next friday, I am taking the car up to HPP which is a very well known mustang shop in texas and they are going to do a few diagnostics on the car and pinpoint our problem. they told us we can hangout in the garage with them and they will go over everything with us and tell us anything they see wrong.

i am super excited. so a couple weeks and ill be rockin the cobra again!

Gettin closer man. just out of curiosity did you match the right dipstick and tube to the motor? That could be throwing your reading off, you might have it overfilled.

well i compared the dip sticks and they are the same length. the tubes also bend the same way just mount in different area.

Didn't you just get a ticket in dads truck for 71 in a 55. I don't think you should be opening up anything.

wow this looks like a fun project! I'll be lucky if I make it into the garage this weekend to detail my car let alone swap out a motor and such!

i did get a ticket which sucks but im doing defensive driving and stuff to get it fixed. im opening her up no doubt though. ill just make sure theres no coppers around. i dont go fast to begin with either.

haha, thankfully I have a very giving and generous father who I appreciate and love dearly! This is his engine going into my cobra, my old motor is getting rebuilt, ported, bored out, KB'd, balanced, forged, cammed, blah blah blah and going into my dads cobra. his is going to be 5x nastier than mine haha.
