Well I wasn't sure. I thought you might have just said that you wanted the intake installed and handed it to them leaving them to assume that is was a direct fit. I wasn't trying to say that they didn't know what they were doing. If it is an intake leak you should be able to take it off and fix the problem yourself if you're up to it. Some people don't like working on their own cars. The removal and installation of the intake by a novice takes about 3 -5 hours depending on how hard you work.

Hard part is remembering where everything goes. To answer your questing about how to look for exhaust leaks get a piece of rubber tubing about 2 feet or so maybe less and use it like a stethascope. put one end of the tubing while the car is running up to the area where you think you have an exhaust leak and put your ear to the other end. You should be able to hear the ticking through the hose. I do this all the time with my car it works pretty well. I HATE exhaust leaks.

wait a second..........did you say you have a coolant leak?????? from where exactly? if you dont know where the leak is coming from, check around the #4 spark plug. (#4 is the one closest to the firewall, on the passanger side). might be that there is coolant in one of the plug holes, and while its cold, it causes a misfire, once it warms up, the coolant goes bye-bye and there is no more misfire. the ECU wouldnt pick up that small of a misfire.

just an idea though.
