Exhuast Manifold install estimate?

Well, the stud on my passenger side exhaust manifold is forever #$^ked up and I can't get a good seal. I guess I have to get a new set of manifolds now.

Any idea on what a manifold install would run? I know, I know, varies by shop, location and all, but surely someone can toss out some general numbers?

$200, $400? A $1,000?!?! I can't even see the #$^ damn things.

Plan on at least as much as it costs for a head replacement (Even if they're going to Helicoil it) and max the labor would be the to drop the engine out w/ the K member. I know a Dealership will charge $1500.

It should cost you @ $300 for labor to install some shorty headers.

I have some mint stock manifolds if you want they are yours for 20 bucks plus shipping, or just like Bob said get some shorty's and install thoes.

I'm sorry, I mis read your post. I thought your Threads were messed up in order to hold the manifold to the head. My price is based on the fact that they would have needed to either pull the engine or the head in order to fix the threads.

Not a problem. Called a garage this morning, qouted $270 pending in person inspection.
Cheapo mani's are about $200, meh, now the question is, is the car worth ~$600 to fix...

It cost me $144 to replace an exhaust manifold gasket.
