Explorer 5.0 Intake

Alright well I have a Explorer 5.0 upper and lower intake and not sure whether I should install it on my 94' 5.0. I was told it should put out the same amount of power as a cobra intake swap. I wasn't sure and have found mixed reviews saying that it makes the same power and others saying it doesn't. Was hoping somebody on here could help me out and let me know if it would be a good option or if I should just do a cobra swap

It can't hurt to put it on if you already have it.

It is actually nearly identical in power. Not nearly enough of a difference for cost difference of the 2. I would venture to say that they are within 2-3hp of each other on a stock-headed 5.0.

Okay so what I was reading was right about them putting out the same power but the Explorer intake is just ugly looking. Thanks guys I wasn't sure what to do but now I'm gonna go ahead and put it on :thumbsup:

i don't know..... GT40 tubular intakes look pretty wicked.. but yeah the regular explorer gt40 looks alright for what it is, reminds me
too much of a stock 87-93 upper intake
