Looking to get a new clutch in my stang but not really sure what brand or stage to get. Not really in no hurry to get one but just doing some searching for when that day comes. Anyone familiar with the F1 Racing Clutch Kits? From what i have read F1 clutch is made from Exedy clutches. Thanks :headbang:

I was going for the Spec clutch but then again wasnt sure to go with it n go with RAM. Would it be better to replace the flywheel or just have the stock one resurfaced?

it is fine to resurface the stock flywheel, unless you have had it resurfaced already. i dont know how many times you can resurface a flywheel before you need a new one though. i have heard bad things about Spec clutches.

Nope. Still the original flywheel. And clutch. the throwout bearing has been squeaking for years and well i figured if ama change the throwout bearing why not do the whole clutch. why do twice the work.

i guess bring the flywheel to a shop to be resurfaced and make sure with them that it is good enough condition to be resurfaced. they should know more than me on this situation, i have an automatic lol

You would be fine with just a stock Sachs or a Exedy clutch Kit. Take your Flywheel and have it resurfaced and you will be good to go.

Yea cuz the F1 Racing clutch is made by Exedy clutch but its cheaper and from what I've read on different sites its a really good clutch kit. But i haven't read anything on Stang owners having that clutch kit.

Then snag it up. Make sure you check the pivot ball and the clutch fork for wear and replace if necessary and also grease the pivot ball.
