I finally dropped my TR3550 off at the guys house who is going to rebuild it for me. I've had it out of the car for nearly 3 months now, but due to my work schedule, and my girlfriends work schedule, I could never get around to making the 75 minute drive up to him so I could drop it off. This past weekend a close friend was in town with his 331 turbo'd LX at a shop here in town to get the AEM tuned, and he told me if I brought it to him that he would take it to Roger, the builder, since they lived down the road from each other.

So, hopefully, Roger will have it taken apart and have me a list of what I need to buy so we can get my junk back together. Without looking at it, he says he defiantly wants to replace the shift fork pads, and blocker rings. With any amount of luck, I'm hoping that nothing expensive is broke, lol. I'll be ordering the parts to fix it from BluMenthalMFG or D&D Performance, depending on whoever has the parts cheaper.

Just figured I'd share my happiness. Shouldn't be too much longer now! :headbang:

you should look into replacing the input shaft from a 10-spline to a 26-spline TKO shaft. shouldn't cost much. Also, make sure he checks the output shaft. Mine was bent and didn't even know it. my guy says its a common occurrence with the 3550s.

As for right now I'm keeping my 10 spline input shaft because I don't really wanna shed out the cash for a new clutch/PP. Cheapskate I guess you could call me, lol
