so guys i finally picked up my last saturday after 2 long months of a buddy havin it to do the pi headswap and put in my trans. i load up all my old stuff in my moms blazer and he tells me "you might hear some ticking and i think its the header bolts. they might need to be tightened a lil more." ok no big deal since i do work in a garage with lifts. so today i took it to work to get rid of that nasty tick...all the header bolts to the head are tight and the bolts that tighten the hpipe to the header are tight. i have this feeling that i have a lifter tick :BangHead: has anyone else run into this after doin a headswap??

Take the H pipe off and get a new gasket for the passenger side where it meets the header. If he reused it, most likely it is leaking and when they leak they sound like the motor is going lol. If not your only out a few $$$ and some time.

well i know for sure its on the drivers side...but theres no sign of an exhaust leak. ive talked to a few friends and they said rip the valve cover off and check the lifter. and to also call mhs

give it some time to let the oil charge in the adjusters. if not, one may be collapsed. its not the end of the world though. good luck.

Your lucky its the drivers side, not the passenger.

the lifters are easy to change, as long as you let them bleed down out of oil. it could be a majority of things, then again theirs modulars that have noise that run perfectly. mine made a little b4 it let go too.
