finding production dates

hey guys,

I got my terminator motor from a totalled cobra and I just wanted to make sure that it is indeed a 2004 engine and that it doesnt require the head-recall.

How do i tell the date that it was built?
What was the dates for the head recall where they painted the head blue after it was performed?
What exactly went on with the recall? If mine turns out to be an 03 head without the recall, what do i have to do?

hey chris here's the date on the valve covers you asked for :thumbsup:

hmmm... it appears (from the tech i got from SVTP... which is questionable at best) that all heads 2003 and 2004 were all prone to the same short-comings, thus, it doesnt matter. thanks for checking though. amigo!. Looks like the spark plug threads were the only change.
