Well elevation does have a big impact...but still, I would think he would go faster than that...lol

yes yes, I get that I should go faster.

What did you all get on your first run? I've only been to the track ONCE!

with mph of 106 and a hp of 480?something dont look right.I have never dyno tested or tuned my 302 and i run 12.20@125 on hard street tires with 2.?? 60' un here next to co.I live in west kansas.so does that mean i am making greater power than 480 and was building rear-end up for slicks and nitrous to go with sc.the cold as, air should help discharge air temp and extra kick.but now i dont think block can handle extra power if im close to 500 hp already.I dident think i was.guess i should call ron at fox lake racing and tell him his combo works.

lol...well my cars auto so I dont have problems with that.

However, my friends supra and another mustang with 5 speeds are a lot harder to get the time you want out of them.

I dont think we even got into the 14s with 400 rwhp in his supra and the 360 rwho stang only went 13.4 lol

106 mph is good for 12.7 w/ a better 60'. You must be spinning your ass off. NItto's are worthless at the track and you need a better tire under there. No reason your car won't run into the 11's w/ that power.

I'd like to get some slicks. I've got some Termy wheels to mount them to.
I've heard good things about MT ET's.
you guys have a recommendation for a good tire?

Not as much on boosted cars as naturally aspirated ones.

but still, I would think he would go faster than that...lol

Yep. Jeff, something is weird. With 480 rwhp should easily be near 120 mph trap speeds.

My car only made 346 rwhp and weighed 3680 lbs and I still went 111.8 mph on street tires even with crappy 60' times. I still went 12.88 with a ~2.1 short time. (or was it 2.2??)

Does the car have turbo lag really bad?

I agree, with that much power I feel like no matter what you do you should be trapping like 115-120

Seems wierd...did you miss shifts? let off? lol

Get that 60' down and the mph will pick up don't worry too much. I had a similar problem with mine i was getting 2.2 60' and trapping like 99mph. Picked up some drag radials and cut a 1.8 with no other changes and trapped 105 mph.
