Maybe the rules are different in Canada but directly quoted from the NHRA rule book

"Drive shaft loop required on all RWD running 13.99 or quicker with slicks, 11.49 or quicker on street tires"

Does not say anything about a loop being required for Drag radials. Not trying to start anything just pointing so people that want to go to the track and are running DR's. I've been going to my track for years using Nitto Drag Tires and Micky Thompson Drag Tries and Ive never been asked about a safety loop and our track is IHRA sanctioned

Wow that's weird. The guys at tech. said on Sunday that if I wanted to run MT et streets I would need a loop which I now indeed have. Too late to change it out now, its already mounted on the car :). Exhaust goes on today, Cant wait to hear it!

dump it at 3 grand and shift it like your life depends on it and youll break a 14.. i broke 14's on a street tire with the same mods last year in 80 degree weather.

Not sure about the ET Streets, they can be driven on the street but they are virtually a slick. They bite harder then DR's

I saw a few people running ET streets and they said it required the loop. I dont care, It doesn't rub/make any noise since my new exhaust was put in. Still, I want to go up again, my car feels lots better after fixing it :(.
