Not to long ago I ordered a porter cable kit from Chemical Guys, along with some V34, V36, and V38 polishing compounds. Well, I finally got a good car to practice on, with some pretty horrible paint. I am still not done with the car yet, I just started today. I only completed the hood and the roof today.

Not to bad for my first real detail. I love seeing the results! These pictures dont do anything justice, just from a crappy point and shoot.

I'll be ordering one soon, going to make my first few victims give me money for polishes waxes and sealants, so I can get some practice in :)

most people rant and rave about m105 and 205 over the cg polishes

Looks like it had some oxidation huh? Looks good bro!

Porter cable with 5.5" pads is awesome for a noob. As far as polishes I like menzerna over CG and meguairs.

I just used m105/205 to polish my car after paint and 1500/2000 colorsanding. Let me tell you, I love m105 and have used it for years, but I love 205 even more now.

OP, WONDERFUL work, Handz would be proud. Once you get really confident, get a rotary buffer, and watch some REAL magic.
