Fittin a 5.0 into a 96-98 stang

I'm pretty sure the k member is different, but am not completely sure. A local buddy wants to put a 5.0 in his 98 mustang (blew the motor). Do you guys know if a 5.0 k member swaps in? I'm pretty sure it would since it's the same chassis but I just want to see if anyone on here has done a swap or heard of one done.
