This is awesome, finally. I would have liked a little more power but it's pretty sick as is, I'm glad they went with a 4v.

A 4v 5-oh sounds awesome, cant wait to see how the aftermarket reacts to this. Im not a mod-motor guy(kid) but still Im not complaining with 400+hp and 380(?)tq

i think 412hp will just fine, since the mustang is already lighter than the heavy piggy camaro, i would want one with the drag pack

its a circle... the GT finally reached 4V status, so that means the Shelby/Cobra is gonna be a Pushrod!

im gonna clear this up. seeing no1 really has yet. the 2011 GT will have "A" 5.0. not "THE" 5.0

considering that its modular, I dont think anyone was calling it "THE" 5.0, in reference to the original pushrod 5.0.

I think the fact that it's not a pushrod makes it better. It's making almost the same power as the 6.0 Camaro and 6.1 Challenger but with a liter less of displacement. To make a pushrod 5.0 make 415bhp you'd be looking at a pretty good build, and it wouldn't be as fuel efficient or as streetable as the OHC engine; and the best part is that ohc 5.0 makes over 400hp stock which is what, bout double what the stock pushrod 5.0 made.
