Fog lights with parking lights?

Alright, I know a lot of people have rewired their fog lights to a different power source but they dont turn off with the lights, you have to hit the switch, right? So i was wondering, could you connect the fog light switch to the parking/headlight switch so that the fog lights turn off with the head lights but can be on with the parking lights?

If you open up your center console, there is a harness plug there for where the convertible top switch plugs in (all SN-95's use the same interior harnesses). You can tap there for power to run to your fog lamp switch. This source will not be controlled by the headlight switch, but it is a switched power source. If you get your power there, the lights will shut off when you shut the car off.

Ever since I did the rewire mod on my car, I think ive actually flipped the fog light switch MAYBE 4 times. Just shut the car off, and they go out too!. Its great!

you can also just swap a wire in the hrns to get them to be controled by the parking lights the way you said you want them. Just do a quick google search and it is a common mod that comes up all the time.

yeah the easiest way to rewire the fogs is just so they come on with the parking lights instead of the headlights, and the switch is still active.

I did this to mine when I switched to amber fog light bulbs, love the look of the fogs and corner lights on by themself

I just did mine and tapped into the convertible harness and the fogs just come on by themselves w/o parking lights, looks nice

I wired mine to go with the headlight switch so I wouldn't have to worry about leaving them on by accident

I just finished rewiring up my fog lights to work independently and it was really easy to do. The best part about it is they turn off when the ignition is off even if you forget to flip the switch to off.

if you put it to the convertible top harness, as jay said when you turn the car off no matter if the switch is on or not the lights turn off...

Yeah i did mine through the convertible harness but i might try the other way this weekend when the carpet and everythings out.

GOOD CHOICE
I prefer to not have any wire splices under the hood that might get wet and cause probs.

I know my fog lenses could use a good polishing. BUT they're a PITA to get to.
loose gnd can cause the dim bulb too.
Might even be a 55 watt bulb in 1 and a 35 watt in the other. Ya never know what the PO did.
