fogs again

so my son's v6 has these slats in the opening for the foglights. how did you guys take care of that to put in fogs. thanx,

going to assume a dremel tool will be my friend for this one.

i don't think there is any trimming needed... get the lights and brackets, relay and the switch and it should all plug in I thought.

some of the v6's and the 01 Bullitt had the fog openings without the slats and some have slats in them. my son's has the slats.

Don’t think I’d ever seen the slats. Most I’d seen either had the lights or was just open.

yea, first time I saw them I thought.....why? was hoping my son's car would be devoid of those, but no luck.

never noticed that myself either. I might just try a snip with my side cut wire cutters myself depending on how thick they are.

I thought all the 99-04 v6’s had the slats. 94-98 v6’s had the black delete plate though.

some had the slats, some did not. have no idea what determined which car got what other than just putting on what was nearby on the shelf.

fogs are in/ kind of a pain. upper mounting is really hard to get to. took me forever to get one of the bolts started. I just wired them direct so they come on anytime any of the lights are put on. he likes them. got clear fogs. they do look good even off.
odd part......one side is brighter than the other. tried switching the wires to see if that did anything and it did not. I didn't pull the bulbs that came with the lights, not that I could necessarily tell if they were different or not.
