forced induction question

To this point I have accumulated parts for a nitrous build, afr165 heads, tfs intake, and all the other bolt on norms. 255lph pump, 30lb inj. w/ adj fuel pressure regulator and calibrated MAF. This weekend I came across an s-trim for a decent price and was wondering if the 30lb injectors would support the blower. IN my calculations the 30lb'ers are good to around 425 at a 85% duty cycle. I am I safe in assuming they will support that power? Also, if i do have to go with bigger injectors, can the MAF be RE-calibrated, if so, where can I send it to have that done? thanks

What BSFC did you use when making your calculations?

http://www.iroczone.com/calcs/injectorsize.htm 38psi and 50psi. I understand at 425 the injectors would be maxed, but with the s-trim, would I actually be pushing 425? thanks. Again, can the MAF be recalibrated for larger injectors (summitt brand MAF)?

I tend to think you'd be on the ragged edge with 30's, but if you keep the boost low and the tune conservative you MIGHT be okay. If it were my car, I'd use bigger injectors. MAFs can't really be recalibrated as the transfer function is set during manufacture, but you can adjust to ECU (within reason) to compensate.

I would not chance it if it were me. I just did an S Trim 94 Cobra and he was running 30s. It ran out of fuel before I could finish the tuning at 9 lbs. Until he purchases bigger injectors he's going to have to keep his foot out of it. You will more than likely run into the same situation. As for the MAF, any competent tuner should be able to change the calibration in the EEC to run that calibrated MAF.

"Is it worth risking detonation to get it done faster and cheaper?" is the real question, wait, save up and do it safe and right, you'll feel better knowing that you have enough fuel when you romp that pedal if you upgrade, thats what I would do anyway.
