my body shop guy told me the re-popped core supports are not as strong as the oem and that its work the time to find an oem. Well of course they do not make them anymore so I am now one the search the hard way to find one. Anyone know of an oem? If not I will take what I can get but wanted to take a look first...

I would assume they would be different.
Only reason I'm asking is I have a new edge parts car... car was total after driving through a fence, so im assuming the core support would be untouched.
If they are the same I could donate it. But you could probably find something closer and cheaper than the shipping from here...

I could be wrong here, but I thought the 94 thru 96 supports were different than the 97 thru 04.

Am does have them advertised as that, I dont see why they would change though. I am jusy trying to think of everything that is bolted to it and I cant think of anything that is different from 96 to 97.

On my white 99 cobra, the bottom of mine is all bent to hell where the previous owner must have hit something, so I'm looking to buy one also.
While I was searching a few weeks ago, I saw that AM says the 94 thru 96 was different than the 97 thru 04. *shrug*

The donor car has had some front end work on it now that I have had it apart and on top of that it still has a clean title that I hope to help flip it when I am done. I know a guy that has all the front end pieces I am taking off of this car so the hope is to sell it to him for as much as I can to get back some of the money put out. Obviously a core support removed would change that. If I have too I can, was just hoping that somewhere along this huge interwebz that there is probably someone sitting right next to one right now, just waiting to click on my link. A dude can hop ya know?

I had not even noticed that to be honest lol all I saw was 94. I can't imagine what would be different honestly... Maybe where the mounting brackets are? Who knows man!

Still in need of a core support and sent it off to the shop today. If anyone knows of any OEM version it would be a great help.
