Ford Speciality tool??

so i am going to be installing a rear main in my 5.0 and my haynes manuel says i need to use a ford special installer tool part # T82L-6701-A i was wondering if this tool is really necessary and if any of u guys know where i could pick one up for cheap?

I've always used a 1/4" extension and a hammer to tap it in.

They shouldn't call them speciality tools instead more like a convenience tool. Kinda like using needle nose pliers to screw in your brake pistons. Its works just fine but if you had the ford convenience tool it goes over better. Long story short specialty tools can make a job simpler but their are other ways with tools you have at hand.
