OK SO I INSTALLED SOME 24# INJECTORS TODAY WITH A 1" GT 40 SPACER, I ALSO PUT A NEW TUBE IN MY C&L FOR THE 24'S. I THEN BLOCKED OFF THE EGR AND PUT A SIMULATOR IN PLACE. THE CAR STARTED JUST FINE SO I TOOK IT FOR A DRIVE TO LET THE COMPUTER GET ALL HAPPY AFTER HAVING THE BATTERY DISCONECTED. I DROVE ABOUT EIGHT MILES BUT NEVER REALLY GOT ON IT BECAUSE THE ROADS WERE ALL WET. SO I GOT ABOUT A MILE FROM MY HOUSE AND THE ROADS WERE DRY AND I STARTED GETTING ON IT, WHEN I GOT TO THIRD I HEARD A SLIGHT POP AND THEN IT FELT LIKE IT WAS DOWN A CYLINDER, THEN I HAD SMOKE COMING OUT THE EXAUST SO I WENT HOME TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HELL I DID THIS TIME. I NEVER GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO.
SO I LET THE CAR COOL DOWN AND STARTED PULLING PLUGS AND FOUND ONE OF THEM FOULED, SO I DECIED TO DO A TUNE UP WITH NEW PLUGS AND CAP, ROTOR BUTTON. AFTER I PUT THEM IN I TOOK IT UP THE ROAD ABOUT A MILE AND IT SEEMS TO RUN FINE BUT I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO SET THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AT, I HAD IT SET ON 38 PSI FOR THE 19# BUT NEVER CHANGED TO FOR THE 24'S AND I THINK THAT IS WHY IT FOULED A PLUG. I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT TO SET IT AT TO BE SAFE AND NOT RUN LEAN OR TOO RICH.
