not meanin to whore this thread, but i actually wanted a LX notch when i was looking for a mustang. But with my parents being the bank loan, they wanted me to get something newer i wouldnt have many issues with(even though i was gonna mod any car i got, lol) but i understand where they were comin from. 3 more payments to them and the title is all mine

BUT!

87-92 was the best years of the 5.0. They made 230Hp and 315ft*lbs to the crank and had forged pistons. In 93 ford went to that hypercrap bullshit and the motor lost 15 horses and 15ft*lbs.

kbb says different... as do insurance companies. So if, God forbid, some old bag rear ends him doing 60... he will lose a few thousand.

Foxes are not worth that much, people are just stupid and will pay that much.

He would be much better off finding a 4 banger in good shape for under a grand and dropping in a 302 and a new T5. The rest of the shit can be found at a junkyard. Grab an 8.8 from an sn95 (good upgrade in brakes going from drum to disk). The sn95 hubs and spindles bolt on too. Just need to use the sn95 struts, and upgrade the proportioning valve, master cyl and booster. Fox spindles are unsealed, so theres another huge upgrade.

All said and done, for half the price or less, you just build a very nice fox. 5 lugs, disk brakes all around, etc.

I bought my fox for 500 bucks. I then later bought a smashed up 94GT for 600 and I have everything I need to make the a very nice fox... Instead of paying 6 grand, I paid 1100.

Just cause most people are stupid, doesn't mean everyone else should follow along.

I can get you a fresh painted Black/Grey vert for 5k right now, auto with 88k on the clock, stock as a rock except a K&N drop in and exhaust. It's a really sharp car.

BTW as far as resale goes, converted car's don't bring squat.
