Fox 5 lug susp. question

hey guys, i have read up on a lot of fox body 5 lug conv. pages, and in all of them it says something along
the lines of "in order to make the fox balljoint work, in a sn95 spindle, you need a 1/3" spacer. my question is:
can i just install a sn95 lower a-arm with the spindle? i know that the balljoints are different between the
fox and sn95, but are the a-arms? thanks in advance.

i appreciate the help man, but reading the description on the fox "upgrade" it sounds like
the only difference is the ball joints and the bushings. i don't know, maybe seeing a fox and
a sn95 a arm right next to each other would prove/disprove my thinking.

thanks for the link man. i searched around a little bit on there and found that the sn95
a-arms seem to fit, and what it sounds like is that 79-04 is the same mounting spots,
but it seems like the foxes were 13" and sn95 are 13.75"? i'm slightly confused because they
didnt seem to have a thread devoted strictly to it. maybe i will give my ford parts guru
a call tomorrow and try and figure it out. or i might get so impatient as to rip out the a-arms
out of my 89 coupe and compare them to my 95.

the a-arms are smaller for teh fox body, about an inch difference. many 94+ guys run them on thier car with skinnies because we have to run a 1 inch spacer to clear the brakes, so having the smaller a-arm helps from having the wheel stick out too far. the ball joints are different because on the fox, the threads don't go down as far so you have to put a spacer in for teh newer spindles to fit...

im pretty sure you can just use a rotor from a mark 7 or something and not do all the sn95conversion....a lot cheaper and works equally well i have had it done to mine for 3 years

well i want to do the spindle swap, that way if down the line i wanted to do a cobra brake swap on the
fox, i wouldn't have to back track.. man... this is frustrating. i'll read on one website that 79-04
mounted the same, and the length was different, and then other sites say that they are all different.
man. time to do some de-construction on the coupe...... :dunno:

i did the research too....way more then i wanted to get into since mine was for a wider selection of wheels not stopping ability...i have never once had a problem slowing down.....i just got a good name rotor and the absolute best pads on the market
