Sorry for all the vids, but I didn't want anyone to feel like they had to make any comments a/b v8s>4cyl, can't do anything w/ a 4cyl, lawnmower motors...
Yes, it'd be (a lot) cheaper to build a 302/351 or even a 4.6. But those have been done over and over for a long time.
How cool would it be to take the AWD and Cossie motor from one of these killer Escorts and throw it into a fox body? I'm thinking it'd be particularly sick in a Mercury Capri (fox, of course. Not the POS miata-wannabe of the early 90s), since they were euro flavored anyway (anyone that doesn't know what a Capri looks like should hit www.foureyedpride.com).
There are tons of these Cosworth powered Escorts/Sierras/etc. on the web w/ 350-800bhp (a few w/ even more!).
This WRX/EVO killer is one of my (pipe)dream cars.

I believe it man, it's amazing how much pwr they can get out of those 4s. I wonder what the weight savings would be (compared to any ford v8). Someday I'll build my dream Capri -it'll have built Termy IRS, Griggs Racing SLA front suspension and a turbo4 of some kind. Beat the ricers at their own game!

Like I said, the reason I think the Cosworth lump and the awd would be so perfect in the Capri is the Euro influence. Check out the blistered fenders on my Capris and compare to the fenders on your Escort...

I almost put that vid in my initial post, but decided against it b/c you never saw the Cossie and the Supra keeps getting away from him. Not that it's any shame to be left by a hopped up supra, but I expected that this thread would be overrun by h8rs already.
