Fox Mod Swap

Does anyone have any imput on doin a mod to fox swap? hard or easy? I have a 96 Gt donor car that has perfect running gear and i wanted to put all of the 4.6 stuff in a Fox body... Engine, tranny, rear, and do a five lug conversion with 03 cobra wheels> ive seen it before and i think it would be pretty cool. :headbang:

It'd be cool, but pushrods are so much cheaper to build, and early pi's weren't exactly power house's too, not sayin stock 5.0's are either, but they are sure cheaper to build. I say sell the 4.6, and with that money buy a 351, which will haul ass, alot cheaper lol. But it'd be an interesting swap to see...

It has been done more than you think. But people mostly use 4 valve engines. To me it is not worth doing with a 2 valve. www.modularfords.com http:// has a whole section dedicated to modular motor swaps. That is where I go for tech info on my swap.

Yea the 5.0s are for sure cheaper to build but im already in the process of working on one in my 95GT. Thats why i wanted to do something a lil different with the Fox car.. lol>> It would a least give me something different to look at for the moment. The mod motor that Im pulling from the 96GT already has the P.I. cams-Intake so it shuld be a lil stronger than before. Plus I want to swap pistons and add a blower running low boost.. Idk id just like to have a fun to drive daily driver thats a lil different than the other stangs around my way. But for sure the 4valve would be too sweet!! Esp stuffed with some boost!!! But idk.. the 96 is free car ya know?? And money is always a factor... for me at least... LoL :headbang:
