Front/Rear Seats Swap...Question?

I could not find any thread showing information on my question but here it goes...

I have a 1996 Cobra coupe with a not-so-nice interior....mainly the seats, front and back.

What years of Mustangs could I swap the front and rear seats right into my 1996 without any mods? I'm not tied to replacing leather with leather either.

Has that ever been researched?

This is about seat rails but since that applies to what holds the seat in it is pretty relative. Hope it helps.

Wait a minute. You might want to ask some of the vert guys. I know they have some seat belt differences and I don't know if that affects the seats or not.

any '94-'04 vert seat will work. front seats are all the same, verts have different rear seats.

Dutch is right, only the back seats matter in a vert, fronts are exactly the same as coupes

99-04 Cobra leather/suede two tone seats look comfortable.

94-04 all have thae same brackets I have a 96 and my seats had to go. Found some seats out of an 04 and bolted right up I only had to splice a new connector for the power seat cause I went from a 2 way to a 4 way. And verts rear seats are just shorter then the coupes.

The seats in my vert are near perfect. I'm looking for seats for my 96 Cobra coupe. Sounds like the consensus here is any seats will work 94-04 EXCEPT a vert rear. Of course with the possible 2 to 4 way wiring adaptation if needed.
