I have a stock 95GT convertible with automatic trans and about 145,000 miles, My fuel pump went and I was thinking of getting a HP pump. My question is, if I install a HP pump will I have to install a new pressure regulator? I am looking to install a new pump in the next few days and I was wondering if I would do damage to the car or fuel system if I left the stock regulator on with a HP pump? I am a little short on cash this week, getting ready to go back to college in August.
Thanks in advance !!

There is no risk of not changing the regulator. I'm still using the stock regulator with my setup.

Not familar with the HP pump. Do you have any specs for it? The most common upgrade is the Walbro GSS340 255 lph. It's a high pressure high volume pump
