My fuel pump isn't working so i replaced it on my 98 GT. It still wont work i checked the fuses, also checked to see if i was getting power to my fuel pump and fuel shut off im not. I switched my relays around ford told me to check my pcm. Does any one know where my pcm is and how to go about checking it? Do any of you have any other ideas of how to go about fixing this problem?

the PCM is in the passenger side kick panel..

obvious question, but did you check the fuel cut-off switch in the trunk? it may also be your CCRM.

Same problem with my 98 GT. New pump, new relay module, and it Still stops when it wants.
Then wait at least 6 hrs and maybe it'll start.
Ford said to clean the connectors on the crankshaft position sensor.Says common problem
of getting dirty and shorting out on 98's
Don't replace, just clean the connectors. when i get done being pissed,
I'm going to try that...

hey, 94-427, since I'm in Little Rock, and an8 hr tow would be cost prohibitive,
how would you test
the pcu/ecm under the passenger kick panel to see if it's bad?

I think i figured out the problem. There is 4 connections one has constant power one is a ground one turns on the relay so so the other one gets power to the pump. the one that turns on the relay has grounded itself.

Glad to hear it, Pokie, 94-427 suggested the ignition switch on mine
I plan on getting to it this weekend.

If the switch ain't it , what colors are the 4 wires you're talking about?
