Have ordered this and will be replacing sometime next week. I know I need to drop the tank. Any links to a how-to on this?
I've searched briefly but have only found basic 2 or 3 sentence instructions. From what I can tell this is probably a 4/10 on the difficulty scale :dontknow:

Thanks :icon_rr:

unscrew the three screws/bolts inside the gas door, put a jack under the tank, undo both straps. let it down slowly until you have enough room to disconnect the fuel lines and vac lines and wire harness(es) and what not and then let it down the rest of the way. Don't forget to reduce the pressure in the fuel system before disconnecting the lines.

It's not hard by any means just a pain in the butt to do. Follow above instructions. I would also replace the fuel filter and fuel filler to tank grommet while you're at it it. Oh and make sure you don't hook up the fuel pump backwards, test it before you button everything up.

def go buy a new grommet for the tank from ford. I would get a friend. the tank might not be full but even with a jack is is awkward to take out and put in by yourself.
