I've started the process of a 347 build with AFR 165's. My current fuel system consists of 255 pump, 30lb, injectors, MAF, and adj. fuel pressure regulator. Will stock lines and this fuel setup be sufficient for this setup before any power adders? Thanks

Your perfectly fine.

Yes the stock lines will suffice most power adders..if your looking to build a 700HP car, you might wanna invest in a better fuel system such as a Aeromotive setup.

is your 347 going to be n/a or are you planning on putting a blower/turbo with it? most guys i have seen with FI with a stroker
have some other fuel pump solutions such as a boost-a-pump, dual focus pumps, dual 255lph, or for high hp, dual ford gt pumps.

+1

What you have is more than ample for your setup. No need to spend any additional money. I power a naturally aspirated 422 inch motor with a single 255 lph pump and 36 lb injectors.

Off topic but I'd be putting at least AFR 185s on that 347, maybe larger if you're planning a power adder in the near future.

Gotta use what I've already got guys. I can NOT afford larger heads at this time. I wasn't planning on going this route during my purchase of the heads some years ago, but some problems I've encountered now have me going this route. Will some hand work on my 165's be worth the effort and money?

That's up to you really. Sure, larger ports and some more airflow would be great - but if you're on a super-tight budget, then...

I understand what you're saying but have you looked into any alternatives? AFR heads hold their value awesome, you could most likely sell your 165s for a good buck, the 185s are almost the same price as the 165s but come with larger valves and more intake flow out of the box. If you don't have the time though I understand, just saying it would pay off huge in the long run.

165's arn't going to hurt performance, but your definitley going to get a better gain with the 185 head.

165's on a 347 are going to give you sh1t loads of torque :boink:

I agree with selling the 165's and going 185's or even 205's since you mentioned adding a power adder in the future...
