^ I don't know if that's entirely right... 96-01 all had 19lbs and switched to pink 21lbs in 02 with a slightly larger MAF.

wow really? I thought all GT's were equal. I hope I'm running the correct maf with my injectors. I have an 03 engine with yellow injectors, '96 rail and dont know what year my maf is from. Is there a way to tell the difference between mafs of different years. Maybe I'm running a maf calibrated for 22 lbs'ers and thats why I have random driveability issues.

you're not pegging the maf with the 21 - 22lbs. if you ran higher than a 24 then yes possibly. you're running a stock displacement which reguards no use for any higher.. JD, id swapped to pink tops. yellow tops were marginal on the previous years.

oh ok, I thought that if a maf wasnt calibrated for the exact size injector then it would cause problems....so running a smaller injector than what the maf is calibrated for is ok, right? Say I'm running a maf for 22lb'ers but I have 19lb injectors= No issue.

most old 5.0s had issues with maf calibration with injectors. newer obd were adaptive up until you were out of voltage/flow range. if you went with 30s and had an 80mm then youd have issues. but 24s and 80mm is minimal changes in airflow/fuel characteristics. going with a 90mm maf and small 24s you are throwing the computer nuts because of the opening in the maf. not electronically.
