When I rev up on my car, it has a strong gas smell. With my old IMCO Racing mufflers, it didn't. Anyone know this is like this? I can see how it would be directly opposite on how it is now. The IMCOs have nothing stopping the flow. These Borlas have 2 chambers, I think. I am typing out of my ass now. I don't don't freaking know! Thanks!!

I put new muffler's on a few weeks ago and it kinda had a stink for a couple days when they got hot. Could be a coating burning off? That's what I figured mine was, it went away after awhile.

a funky smell is common with new exhaust components, takes a few heat cycles to burn off and some stuff like mid pipes I have read can take a hundred miles or more to burn off that smell

I think he bought used from rgs right?, and if that's the case, you might be just burning the soot/carbon out from the previous owner. :dunno:

Did your mufflers exit the side before? Because they do now ant its alot closer to your sniffer and so it might be more apparent now!

Came came out @ the exact same spot. Actually, a touch lower! These are lower by about a 1/6 of an inch, maybe.
