I wanted to see if anyone has ever installed a set of Trickflow Heads with stock cam and what the pushrod length was???
I'm just going to have to buy a push rod length checker...

Also I wanted to see if I can use just a stock gasket kit for my motor our will I need a aftermarket gasket kit for the heads ?

I already have a gasket set for the Headers,Upper and lower intake

So will a stock gasket set work for the heads??

Also will 1.7 Rockers fit under the stock sn95 valve covers? Our should I just do the 1.6 rockers ??

Also do the Sn95 come with double timing chain ?? If they do would it be fine to run a stock new unit or should I run a aftermarket unit???

Regular gaskets should be fine, I've never heard of stock cam with TF heads. I know with a TF cam and heads you need different pushrods. If anything buy or rent a pushrod length checker and you'll find out pretty quick.

its only a couple more steps to do the cam and they only cost 180-200. I have had my heads for 9 months waiting to get the cam as I am not going to do the work of replacing the heads a 2nd time when I finally get a cam.

Hey what do you think of your trickflow stage 1 cam ?? How does the car drive for a daily drivers???

Will it pass smog in California ??

Thanks

i have the tfs1 cam i love it good power from 2k-5500..its not a smog legal cam so therefore it wont pass smog and no if you change yor rockers you have to change the valve covers...if you go tfs1 cam get some 1.6 rr and some fox body valve covers

Will the foxbody valve covers fit with the trickflow intake or do I need a spacer ?? Also the only cam I can go with is a FMS E303 cam and that cam is old and outdated. What do i do???

well i have hook up on smog so its not a problem for me but i am registering my car at a p.o box in a smog exempt zipcode so i dont have to ever deal with smog again..i had to run a 1inch spacer with my cobra intake to clear the fox valve covers and it still fit under the stock hood just needed to remove the stuff on the underside of the hood..your smog problem sounds like its the problem that is limiting your performance choices

Dude tell me about it ...I really dont want to run a E303 cam but I must have a smog legal car because my car is a daily driver..

I thought that the trickflow top end kit was smog legal
