Mocking my Gauges, hoping to install this weekend.

Which setup will Look/Function better?

Wideband on top or Fuel Pressure on top? Keep in mind, I also got the SOS Pod with the Raptor claw setup so I will have a shift light there as well.

Is there 1 you can see better? Is there then 1 you will look @ more? Go by that.

I'm not sure that either really make a difference, I'm leaning more towards the wideband on the bottom at the moment.

i really like that SOS pod, i want one. any place to get them cheaper than others?

Not really... If you check with the guys @ Lethal Performance they may give you a deal, but I think they are the best place to order from for the free shipping. Alan @ Speed of Sound told me the other day that they are going to have to increase the prices on the pods.. I assume it is because of inflation, I'm sure the real Ford A-pillar trim is probably costing him more money.

I did a little work to the extra trim ring that came with my AEM gauge tonight.. Grinded the threads down on the inside and sanded it down to the bare plastic (it was silver) and painted it black with a coat of clear on it to match the other trim ring. Now I can glue/double sided tape the extra trim ring on the Cyberdyne FP gauge and they will both match & look a little more clean or streamlined.. Yeah, a lot of work for something so little, but I think it will pay off in the end.

I'm actually starting to lean more towards the A/F gauge on the bottom, but I'll have to mock it up again with the modified trim ring to get a better idea.

the lack of any kind of continuity between the gauges is a major turn off to me. /they do not match each other, nor the car, dunno......

you got to think about how it will look at night also. Not so much about asthetics but more about how bright 1 is over another. You wouldn't want the brightest one at eye level.

wideband on the bottom. its very distracting and you want that closer to the dash so its not staring at you the whole time.

Wha? Both Gauges have black faces... Both are Digital... And both will have the same trim ring... What part of that doesn't match? I'm a pretty anal guy when it comes to matching things up, but I see absolutely no problem with these gauges matching the car.. :thefinger:

I didn't want them to match the gauge cluster on purpose, I wanted them to be a bit stealth and to "blend in" a bit with the rest of the interior. Plus I wouldn't have ever been able to find a set of gauges with the correct silver faces to match my Simco "Silver Series" cluster.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
