looking for some help from the AUTO guys.

i got my car BONE stock. nothing has gave me any reason to believe i had ANY unknown mods, but today i rode with my buddy who has a 00gt. i noticed at 60mph he was at 2000rpm, i put the 3.73s in his car. then i got to thinking, my car (supposedly stock 3.08s) runs 2000rpm at 60mph as well.

so my question is, can ANYONE with a 96+ auto tell me what RPM you are running in 4th while cruising. just let me know what gears, tire size, and RPM at what speed (ONLY IF YOUR SPEEDO IS CORRECT)....

if mine seems off i'll pull the cover, but i have no reason to if its stock since if its stock gears will be in within a couple months.

also, i dont care what RPM/speed you tell me since i can live in the woods i can drive as fast/slow as needed to compare.

thanks!

throw it up on jack stands, rotate rear wheel and count how many times your driveshaft rotates in one revolution of the wheel. That will tell you your rear end ratio

Ive done this already and its right at 3 so I assumed stock 3.08 which is what the tag says. But my cruising rpms coincide with 3.73s according to every other 4r70 mustang ive driven as well as the calculators that's why I am confused. Might pull the cover and verify 100% if I get time today.
