looking into buying a set of gears 4 my basically stock 98'GT. either 3.73 or 4.10s. just wondering if ne1 knows wut kind of rpm's ill be turning @ daily driven speeds? 55? 75? etc? its an Auto with a Shift kit

this should put you close but it depends on the overall diaameter of your tire and overdrive ratio which idk off hand

ok aode i believe 4speed auto i would go 373's i stay at 25-2800 rpm at 65 mph a 4.10 in an aode is overkill if you like the highway lol if its a 5speed auto then 4.10's

there should be a 150-200 rpm difference between 3.73's and 4.10's while cruising. go 4.10's modulars need the gear

i have 4.10's, in my auto 98 gt, just like yours. i had 3.73's, went to 4.10's will never go back. rpms on the highway are around 2500 cruising. its not that bad.

4.10s no less... IMOP... I have 3.73s now 98 GT auto, and hate them. I've wished I had gone at least 4.10s for since I got them... So I've got a set of 4.30s waiting to be installed.

when you say 2500 cruising.....are you talkin 70?

any1 know about 3.90s? and im usually cruising around town(40) or on the interstate(70-80). not on the interstate alot tho. if the rpms wud b THAT bad on the nterstate then i cud take the scenic route. lol

yeah cruisin 70 its about 2500 rpm.

go 4.10's, if you bought a mustang and expect even decent gas mileage, sell it now.

yeh same here. i want a good gear just not wanting 2 be running 2800-3000 going down I-95 4 45 minutes. thats the main thing. but i GOTTA hav sumthing 2 pick me and my baby up

any1 got nething on 3.90s? seems like im hearing that mayb 3.73s arent enough and 4.10s MAY B 2 high.

i went with 3.90 when i picked, its great, i run 23-2400 at 70, and have plenty of pull out threw the gears.. man it makes a world of difference getting rid of the factory gear

thanx. i think ima try out the 3.90s. heard of a few people liking them and EVENTALLY id lik 2 put a KB on top of the 4.6 once ive gotten the motor forged and taken care of. and mayb the 3.90s will still be around 2 see that happen. thanx every1!
