I am wanting to install some new gears to get the most out of the trickflow/anderson power pipe HCI swap I did last year. What gears should I get for it now being a 94 gt with a stick? Also what speedo gear do I need to get that to work correctly?

The 23 tooth VSS gear will only match to the 3:55 rear gear. unless you get a speed cal.How much highway or daily driving do you do? 1/4 mile? The 3 most common gear swaps are 3:55, 3:73. and 4:10.My car came with 4:10's and I wish they were 3:55 or 3:73's due to the amount of highway driving I do and gas milage. Not that I'm that concerned with milage, but I would like to see at least 20 highway on my stock motor, and I'm only about 18ish now.

highway and city driving here are kinda combined funny enough I know of no other city that builds an expressway and then adds 25 stop lights on it with in a matter of a few years..... We have a interstate hwy(41) that also has 2 dozen stop lights and a 45 mph zone through most of it. So with that said its about 50/50 on highway and city, I might make it to the track 1-2 times a year.

Most people will recommend 3.73s, I tend to do things on the conservative side so I put 3.55s in my car. It's a nice combo, decent around town and about 2400rpm @ 75mph.

3.73 then.. Descent highway cruising rpm, and still provide good pull ratio as well..

3.73's are a good all around gear. They turn low enough RPMS on the highway

3.73's are a perfect down the middle choice. I think that speed cal is for the 99-04's. 94-98's just use a colored plastic gear for speedo. I think.

Years ago I did 3.55's on my 5.0 t5 car, regretted not going 3.73 or 4.10 all the time

I say 3:55s, 3:73 are ok if you have a completely stock car and just want to feel that extra pull. I got tired of 3:73s on my car, every light or stop is a quick 1-2 shift and it's hard to keep the tires grounded when you get on it. Just my .02
