Don't make the same mistake as me. Keep looking.

Paid $4k for mine with 169xxx on the odo from a "friend". Worse decision my father's ever made for me.

For a 15 yr old car, that's not bad. What 15K a year? It has, I think the Speedline Saleen rims? If so, they're pretty high. You can keep looking, just keep this one in your back pocket.

It does not seem like a bad deal. Any car can be a lemon. I have seen the 94-95 5.0 going for 4k to 7k. If you do not know what you are looking at I would have a mechanic inspect it. If you can find a better deal do that. If you are planning on rebuilding the car then miles are somewhat irrelevant. Just depends on what you want to do.

Exactly, if anyone is buying a car to build then miles should not even matter unless you don't know anything about cars. I would always check the frame for past accidents.

I traded a motor and trans for my car. Thats peanuts for a car. It was in bad shape, but I lucked out it having a hell of a strong motor in it. If you know anything about a 5.0, i'd go look at it. Otherwise be careful. 5.0s are good cars to lemonize to dish out to people who don't know.

id do it miles are like age, just a number

Exactly.. It's all in how it was taken care of. You can have 20k mile car that is junk if it was dogged and not maintained properly. Like others have said if you plan on rebuilding it milage is nothing. If you plan on driving it for a while first, and are not all that knowlegable on cars take it to a mechanic and have it looked over throughly. It may be that the 150k on this car means nothing. I'm not saying to go out and by it, but it is worth IMOP taking a closer look at.

If you're wanting a car to wrench on, then its not that big of a deal. But if you want a DD right now, be vvery weary. Sometimes clean cars arent the best maintained. Just ebcause the owner now is good to it doesnt speak for the others. My car is a good example of that. Me and the last guy took super good care of it, but the one before that ran it into the ground. Unfortunately the PO turned all those problems over to me...I planned on having it painted by now and starting on building a motor but every time I get a little cash saved up, something goes kaboom. Which isnt bad, if its just a car to play with, but I don't have the time to fix it when the problems arise so it has to go into the shop which is even mooorreee money. I'm pushgin $5000 into this car with most of that being repairs and that doesnt include the orginal $4k I paid for it.

IMHO $4k is a little much for that car. Shop around, $4k can get you more nowadays
