My sister is giving her daughter (Shelby) her first car. It's a 94 V6 vert. It was my sister's car that she bought back in 97. Still has under 100k on it.
We are looking to upgrade her front and rear brakes to Cobra gear.
I'm assuming it's just as straight forward as it is on a GT.
Do we just need:
Calipers/brackets
Pads
Rotors
New brake lines (stainless)

Nothing special that I need to find right? Just making sure, as I know zero about any specifics on the V6 cars.

We pulled the car out yesterday after it was sitting since 2017. We grabbed a nice used set of wheels and tires for her and threw those on yesterday also. Pretty sure she needs a fuel pump. There's not much pressure at the fuel rail, and it starts for a couple seconds if we hit it with starting fluid. Anyway, here's a few pics of the (so far minimal) progress

Here it is right after we pushed it out onto their driveway (that's not me in the pic). Those chrome 16" waffle wheels were bought in 1997

That's Shelby out back jacking the car back up so we could swap the fuel filter.
The wheels/tires were just $450. 17x9/10 Black Cobra R with some rivets around the edge. Car looks so much better now, and it's got nice fresh tires compared to the flat and dry rotted 16s

Its the same process as converting a gt. I would add a cobra master to that list. I have a set of drilled slotted rear cobra rotors with about 5k miles on them there yours if you want them just pay shipping.

Wish my first car was as cool! Don't forget you need the Cobra backing plates and anti-moan brackets to fit Cobra rotors on the rear of a V6 or GT car. The calipers and caliper brackets for the rears are the same as on a GT or V6, IIRC, they just take different pads on a Cobra due to the larger rotor. I have no idea where you live, but I have a set of brand new stock Cobra rear rotors I want to get rid of cheap too.

Same process as swapping the Gt. That one should have the correct lines for the calipers. I’ve got the Mach 1 setup coming off my car and new russel lines for them if you need it. I got some awesome Cadillac calipers from a fella not to long ago lol.

I may be in touch for those Calipers and lines.

Is the master cylinder a must?

Grabbed some Cobra/Mach calipers off my buddy William (Warrior) a month or so ago for a smoking deal. (Thanks again broseph)
Just got around to cleaning them up and painting them for her. I'm going to give them to my niece for Christmas tomorrow.
Her name is actually Shelby G.T. as far as initials go.
I bet whe will get a kick out of them.

I'm going to try to keep this thread updated as we pick away at her car. I'm sure I'll have some V6 questions at some point too.
