So, I yanked out all of the spark plugs and compression tested my motor today to see if it would be worth it to start buying parts, or if I should just start saving to rebuild/ build a new motor. Well, the range between all 8 cylinders was 10psi. I don't have the paper in front of me with the exact number for each cylinder, but i believe there were 2 @ 160psi, 2 or 3 at 155psi and the rest were at 150psi. So, according to AllData, its okay. 135-250 psi is what it says to be normal, so it is on the lower end of the spectrum there, but for 169,xxx miles, it ain't to shabby, what do you guys think? Oh, and this was a dry test, we didn't do a wet test.

Pretty good for that mileage indeed, the fact they are all within 10% is better still. :)

Yea, I was pleasantly surprised. :dancing6:
Now I just need to replace the harmonic balancer, the fuel filter, and mess with the timing and hopefully she'll be running like new. Maybe replace the o2 sensors as well. She was backfiring alot last time I drove her, was told it may be the cats. Hopefully those will be gone in the near future and replaced with BBK longtubes and an off-road BBK h-pipe :coolsmiley:
