Hi im new here, but love stangs and have had a few, had a 1996 GT a 2003 S/C GT and a 2006 4.0L 5spd i ordered new in 2006, which i have now sold all those cars, and have had a lil of everything, 350z, firehawk, 300zx TT, and girlfriend and i currenty have a 1999 BMW 540I M-sport, and i just picked up a 1994 mustang GT 5.0L Auto, 111,000 miles, nice car all in all, now my questions are, where should i start, im not going to do to much untill this winter to it, after our lil boy is born in DEC, but im getting some ideas put together now, and maybe start ordering some items for it, should i start with the top end? Intake, TB, MAF, Headers, exhaust, MSD, pulleys, and a new cam, your minor bolt ons, with some 3:73s gears, then get a 347 stroker kit from eagle this winter and redo the bottom end at the same time put a 3200rpm stall converter into it?? Where should i start with this, i dont want no power adders like a turbo or supercharger, want all N/A. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated! And i should add, this will be a daily driver!

do it all before the kid is born!!!! they eat the hell out of your cash flow

Hahahaha, that's why I'm steering clear of that for a while.

This is exactly what I was going to say. If you plan on doing the mods after the kid is born they just won't get done. They not only eat through money like crazy they also take up ALL your spare time.

Thats not totally true. Money part yes to an extent, the time you just have to adjust a little like when they are in bed or napping.

a napping kid does not always give you the required time you need to do the things you want.

so when do you spend time w/ the wife and sleep?

Having a kid = less money and time to do car related stuff its just that simple. Its not a matter of just a minor tweak of your daily schedule and still be able to do as much as you did before

Well my wife likes to work on cars with me, it doesn't happen very often but she does like cars. Anything in life will take time away from hobbies. And yes, it is as simple as tweaking your schedule. I may not be the best person to talk to about what mods need to be done and when but this subject I do know about.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to start an argument but "my situation" would be even harder than having one kid. Sorry it just gets under my skin when people act like having kids is the end of your life, and by the way I also work between 70 and 80 hours a week on top of haveing our 8th baby on the way....but I admit it is a major change going from none to one, I suppose onse you have had a couple you get better at fitting in the extra things you like to do...so I do understand what your saying. :thumb:

I know what your saying and Its good that you can manage your time w/ 7 and #8 on the way but the fact is that some people have no free time w/ just one, that's the only point I was trying to make. Every situation is different, every ones work schedules and available free time is different.
