We got an automatic Saphire Blue 95 GT yesterday and it is our first black int. car as well as the first with an auto and it came with the factory 17 inch wheels.
After debating about whether to modify my 5 speed car (the one with the Cobra R wheels) I knew I did not want to start removing parts from that car to build it for IHRA Pure Stock racing because it is in real nice shape with 114K miles.
When I saw the automatic car on craigslist, I knew I had to check it out.
So it will get some legal mods to fit H/Pure Stock at a car weight of 3300 lbs and with driver it should weigh no less than 3470 lbs raceweight.
The index is 9.30 (1/8th mile) and IHRA factors the 5.0 at 220 hp with very few mods allowed.
I hope I can run 9.20s so I can run the local Stock/SuperStock combo races here. :grin:
